Conclusion Of Law Definition

noun

An inference reached by applying substantive law to the facts. For example, unless there is an express or implied warranty or products liability law that applies to Jones’ bicycle, the substantive legal principle known as caveat emptor will prevent Jones from holding the seller of the bicycle liable for the bike’s flat tire. See also conclusion of fact and findings of fact.
